Reopened 9th December 2019 following closure and repair/ refurbishment following severe flooding in the August. Small, idyllic 15th Century inn with timber beams an open log fire in Winter and two outdoor patios for warmer weather. A contemporary 'conservatory' style extension offers an additional dining area with a view into the kitchen. The two ever-changing guest beers are often from local micros. High quality food from ever-changing menu always featuring a range of speciality fish dishes (booking advisable, closed Mondays). Situated in the Peak District National Park and surrounded by good walking country, families and walkers are welcome.
