Mandarina Bar

Reopened as the Mandarina Bar on 1st June 2016, run by experienced manager Louise Anderson. Rather unusual Hydes offering. Whilst food-led, the real ale certainly isn't neglected, as evidenced by the Cask Marque accreditation. 2 ales from Hydes or the Beer Studio (their in-house brand) & also 1 guest beer, complimented by 3 craft keg beers & an extensive range of bottles. The ale is £2.50 a pint all day Monday to Thursday. Reasonably priced up-market food offering to suit all appetites, including salads, fajitas, burgers, hot dogs & sandwiches. Coffee, loose teas & cake also available. Large open plan with modern "roughed up" décor complemented by pictures of the Mandarina moth on the walls, after which the bar is named, in recognition of the days when Macclesfield was one of the biggest producers of quality silk. Front terrace outside drinking area that is a real sun-trap. Children welcome until 7pm. Excellent disabled access & facilities. Quiz & play-your-cards-right on Sundays. Occasional Live Music. Short walk from the bus station. Public car park opposite.
