Strathmore Arms

This pub on the Bowes-Lyon estate has been serving drinkers since 1882. It offers a constantly changing list of guest beers, featuring obscure breweries. Unusual bottled beers are also sold along with real ciders and perries. A regular in the Guide since 1981, the pub displays a full collection of the Guides going back to 1976. It has a separate snug. Pizza and pasta evening is Wednesday and gourmet food nights are held on occasion (booking essential).
