Following a few uncertain years in the hands of poor landlords/owners, the much loved OBH is now in the very capable hands of Chris and his team which has seen the OBH go from strength to strength over the last 4 years. The pub has been tidied up with nice soft furnishings and a wonderful roaring fire in the winter and is now a very pleasant place to go. Look out for the parliament clock and list of Ware's pubs of days gone by (100+) in this heavily timbered building which is the only surviving former coaching inn in Ware. Three Beers from Theakstons which always include Old Peculier, the large garden features two floodlit Petanque piestes. Live music from local music students first Thursday of the month plus occasional bands on Saturday evening. Good value food is available including Thai food and regular pub meals. Roasts on a Sunday.
