Kings Arms

Opening hours

Tucked away in a historic street of 19th-century workers' cottages, this handsome two bar corner free house, popular with office workers, locals, students and tourists, has a traditional horseshoe bar in the front saloon with an open fire. The rear large conservatory, with a rustic feel, serves Thai food on a series of long central wooden tables and several counters with tall stool seating along one side. Food is also served in the public bar but not the saloon. Packed with retro objects d'art, its rich history seeps through; it has been used as an undertakers and a magistrates court. The nine real ales usually include two or more from London brewers and at least one dark beer.
