Down a narrow, cobbled road off Borough High Street lies this traditional pub. The stained glass windows hint at a bygone era and the large murals adorning the walls tell the story of a pub and an area that has a rich history. The layout inside is simple: an L-shaped bar in a large bare-boarded floor space, with six handpumps and five or six beers, serving the eclectic mix of tourists, office workers and marketgoers. Happy hour is from 4-7 on Monday to Thursday. Reasonably priced at all times.
