Reopened in Feb 2016, following extensive refurbishment. Popular pub, standing back from the busy A631 M1/M18 link-road in the retail and leisure area of the village, The downstairs layout has been opened out with a central bar featuring up to five beers. Large upstairs function room used for a variety of functions and live acts. Outside eating at the front and in the garden at the rear. Historic pictures of the area adorn the walls. Real ales may be sourced locally or from further afield. Local CAMRA branch Most Improved Pub in 2017. Lively on weekend evenings. No longer offers a discount to CAMRA members, but has it's own drinks promotions.
