Recently reopened under new management, this locally owned, free house has several drinking areas. Close to main shopping areas and bus and train stations. Handy for visiting the nearby Minster and the historic Chapel on the Bridge. The two changing guest beers are usually sourced from local breweries. Often busy in the daytime and early evening. There is an outside yard area. Very competitively priced. Closed due to flood damage on 14th November 2019 and reopened by December 20th.
