This friendly well established free house provides Abbeydale Moonshine plus seven guest beers, including a porter or stout. In addition, there is at least, one real cider. Built in 1890 by long-closed Strout's Brewery (Neepsend, Sheffield), a central island bar serves the games room, lounge and tap room. Beer festivals are held in May and November. Monthly tutored whisky tastings take advantage of the extensive range. There is a rear outdoor area, and an upstairs function room which hosts regular live folk sessions. Children are welcome. No meals Sunday evening.
