Traitors' Gate

Taken over by the current operator in Autumn 2013, this pub has established a reputation for live bands on Fridays and Saturdays and open mic sessions on Thursdays. The quieter, traditional end of the pub is to the right of the front bar. The pub is not easy to find, due to the lack of external signage. Five handpumps, wth four dispensing a rotating selection of guest beers. Look out for the small chalkboards above the handpumps on the bar, which list the current and forthcoming beers. Real Ales discounted from 15:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 12:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, at other times a 20p discount on Real Ales is offered to card-carrying CAMRA members.
