Recently re-opened under new management, a modern-built, popular town centre pub standing on part of the site of the old Wellington Brewery. Here there were stalls for horses and a 'Gig' House for the carts they pulled around town, from which the pub derives its name. The pub serves three hand-pumped real ales. In summer, tables and chairs are set up on the Plaza for drinking and dining alfresco.
Breakfast served 9 am until 3 pm.
The Gig House Roast served all day Sunday.
