This low-beamed, popular, village pub is in a pleasant backwater on the edge of Tilehurst close to open fields and Sulham Woods. Originally, an end of terrace cottage, a large conservatory has been added at the rear. A wood-burning stove, installed in a recently-uncovered bricked-in fireplace during renovations adds a new aspect to the friendly, country pub, atmosphere in this predominantly-locals' hostelry.
