The 'Prince' is a great locals' pub and welcoming to anyone who walks in. The pub 'up the hill' is a single-bar local free house on the edge of this country town, overlooking the higher reaches of the Test Valley. Local conversation takes pride of place among a mixed clientele. There is an excellent jukebox, a pool table and sports TV screens, with an emphasis on football matches. Occasional music events. The karaoke can be fun! This is a real traditional friendly locals pub serving fine beer and worth the short walk out of town. The pub may open until 1.00am at weekends.
