Picture postcard village pub that was formerly two red brick cottages dating back to the 18th century and parts of the pub are over 350 years old. Dainty cottage windows with creepers on the outside walls and colourful plants and flowers adorn the seating area at the front of the pub. The bar has a striking stained glass feature. The pub serves high quality wholesome food which is also available in small plate options. All the food is home cooked using fresh local ingredients sourced from local suppliers and table booking is recommended. Another delightful feature is The Snug and Vineyard garden at the rear of the pub surrounded by tubs and baskets of beautiful flowers, complete with picnic style tables and chairs and extensive views over fields and the countryside. Children and dogs are welcomed, there is live music and events such as a comedy night on an occasional basis (go to the pub website for details).
