An Ember Inn pub, the Crown is at a busy junction at gets lots of passing trade, being on the main road from Liverpool. Although very much an eating place, there is a pleasant atmosphere with no music, televisions or fruit machines, so drinkers are welcome. Monday and Thursday are cask ale nights, with the real ales just £2.79 a pint, with discounts also for Cask Club members. Food very reasonably priced.
