Re-opened in June 2009 as part of a small pub chain (Heartstone Inns) of 6 pubs mainly in the South West. The pub was originally called the Victoria Hotel, but it gets its name from a Victorian coin, several of which were discovered during a 20th century refurbishment. There is a large main bar area with a stone floor and a separate restaurant. Quite often, some of the guest ales are from a local brewery. Occasional live music takes place on Friday nights, and there is a cider festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
