Village pub in nice setting close to Norman church and castle and convenient for tourists and locals alike. Plenty of exposed beams and plaster walls for a traditional pub experience. Plenty of room at the bar and plenty of casual dining tables with a restaurant separate from the bar areas. Serves standard beers and standard English food which is quite acceptable in largish serving sizes if you seek traditional in a friendly atmosphere. Food served through the afternoon in summer.
