The privately-owned Countryman appears to be a modern building but it incorporates the early 19th-century Leila Cottage, which gives its name to the brewery. A notorious smuggler, James Waite resided here when Ingoldmells was a wild and lonely place. Today Skegness, Butlins are close by. Additionally, the pub has its own touring caravan park (summer only - no other accommodation) and a most informative website. Information boards give brewery, pub and beer information for visitors. The pub is on northern bus routes from Skegness.
