Lochaline is a small family run hotel and IS a destination.Do not expect 5* facilities with the attendant prices, but a warm friendly welcome from Charles and Sally.Be prepared for stunning scenery in this remote and unspoilt part part of Scotland, and that is just the journey there!The area is renowned for its remote natural beauty, and is popular for loch, river & sea fishing, wreck diving, wildlife and walking.You will need your camera to take pictures of the spectacular sunsets.Stand on the sandy beach in front of the hotel and watch the dolphins. The Lochaline-Fishnish (Mull) ferry passes in front of the hotel every hour. The pier is just 10 minutes walk away.It used to share the same postcode as Oban (PA34), but campaigned for its own which was granted in 2009.The public bar is open throughout the year, with views of the Sound of Mull.Accommodation is also available, but you are strongly advised to make contact before turning up on the off chance, particularly in the quieter months.Note NO Real Ales, but bottles are available.Note "Dummy" opening hours for bar and food, please contact Lochaine Hotel***** Confirmed no Real Ale 10/8/14 *****
