Chequers

Traditional English pub with an emphasis on real ale and home cooked food. Up to six ales from the Fullers, Gales and Dark Star ranges are available and a gravity poured cider. The bar has four separate areas, with an airy restaurant and function room to the rear. The back rooms can be booked for private parties with separate or combined space for up to 60 people. The large fireplace warms the main bar area in winter and is an excellent place to relax. This pub is a popular meeting place for discerning drinkers and visitors to the adjacent theatre.
