Gardiner Arms

Opening hours

The Gardiner Arms, Tackley is owned by Martin and Jackie Perrin. They re-opened the pub in October 2016. Martin & Jackie own the freehold, and it is a free house. The main beers are Little Ox beers, 'Tackley Bitter' in the Winter & 'Tackley Gold' in the summer. Guest beers are chosen from local small micro breweries; the ethos is in the spirit of supporting local brewers. Guest beers are on sale on an ad hoc basis, usually every other weekend. The pub has regular live music events on Saturday evenings, as follows; 1) contemporary bands whom in the main perform covers; and 2) folk music - approx. 15 accomplished musicians form mainly North and West Oxfordshire who play from 8 pm til late. See the website/ Facebook page for details of upcoming events. In the summer the pub has an Aunt Sally team that plays on Monday evenings. The pub is open to all on Monday evenings when the pub is being used by local groups. Food is quality locally sourced food. e.g. pies and sausages from Eagles the Butchers in Deddington. Food menu can be found on their website. They run an annual event 'Tackley Beer and Music Festival' held every year on the nearest weekend to mid-summer's night. Family friendly event, free entry to all. In 2019, it is June 21st & 22nd. As well as selection of real ales and ciders: they have a Big Stage, professional sound system set-up with on-site sound technician. All quality (mainly local) musicians.
