Long-standing free house on the old main road through the village, which is now bypassed. Two large rooms and now also a smaller one used for dining. Taken on by same management as the Chequers in Horspath (Maroon) and small room is used as a restaurant and takeaway. Intention is to keep main part as a pub. Not always open in the afternoon when it says it is.
