Reopening 12 April 2021 having closed on 11 October 2020 when the then lessees, Crafty Belle, were reassessing their business. Reopened in December 2018, with the slightly tweaked new name of the Crown of Stadhampton. It has been leased by the owners to the Oxford-based family-run pub group, Crafty Belle, who also operate the notable Old Bookbinders Ale House and James Street Tavern in Oxford. The pub has undergone a major makeover and is now marketed as a French-style pub/bistro/lounge. As well as major internal and external re-decoration, a bistro-style cafe now occupies the rear room, whilst one of the front bars retains the more traditional pub games such as a darts board and pool table etc. The food menu, as with their other pubs, features a lot of classic French bistro fare and is gaining a growing reputation with many customers. Three varying ales on handpump.
