Traditional village inn with whitewashed stone walls, heavy oak beams, real fires and a large garden. Purchased by the local community from Greene King in 2014, the pub has gone from strength to strength ever since. The focus is on local produce with a changing menu of home-cooked food, some of which is grown in the pub's kitchen garden. A selection of four local beers (maybe three in winter) is available in the small bar alongside locally made soft drinks from Samuelsons of Witney. The local bus service has been withdrawn so now it's a half-hour walk from Standlake.
