The oldest pub in Eynsham (as opposed to the oldest building in use as a pub, see White Hart). There was a pub on this site from the late 16th century, known as the Angel until 1750. Listed grade ll and occupies an imposing location in the main square next to St Leonard’s Church. A former Morrell’s pub, it is now run by the same people as the Jolly Postboys in Oxford from May 2018 and has been refurbished and the beer range much improved. Car parking is very limited in the Square and the pub car park is controlled so make sure you follow any instructions.
