Queen's Head

Opening hours

Under new management again from Autumn 2017, the Queen’s is a traditional pub which retains elements of its original layout and is on the CAMRA Regional Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors: the entrance still has its off-sales door ahead of you when you enter; to the left is a split-level bar with a fire, the railway memorabilia and horse brasses now gone sadly, and to the right a comfortable lounge. An extensive, sun-trap garden is an added bonus. Opened in 1850 the pub is named after Queen Anne (1702-1714) for her connection with Blenheim Palace. Basic pub grub Tuesday to Thursday lunch times, a chef comes in for the rest of the time with food locally sourced and given a Jamaican twist; and the wines are from The Eynsham Cellars.
