The Landlord and family from South Africa, with little previous experience of cask ale, have transformed this outlet in six months. Their reputation for the condition and quality of their beers has doubled both footfall and number of handpumps dispensing beers from the Enterprise list. It’s here that the founding members of Fairport Convention met in their early days in the 1970s to plan their annual music festival held in August; now in its 38th year, it attracts thousands of visitors!
