Rose & Crown

Opening hours

A superb country pub at the bottom of the village, now with the new landlord Simon Porter. Dating back to the 11th century, it is stone built with exposed beams and a flagstone floor. Ownership of this free house changed early in 2014, so did the tenant, Quentin. Log-burning stoves provide winter warmth; Aunt Sally is played in the garden during summer months. This friendly local is reputedly haunted by the ghost of a Roundhead from the nearby battle of Edgehill. Children's room. Garden. Wheelchair-friendly.
