This new hotel is the conversion of the former prison; bedrooms are the former cells! There are two bars, one a basement brasserie with a courtyard garden, and the other on the third floor, a smarter cocktail bar. Both are architecturally interesting; the basement one shows evidence of the cells with thick stone walls, small windows and a brick vaulted ceiling. There are bottled beers available from local breweries such as Wychwood and Hook Norton.
