Chequers

Reopened on 12 April 2021 having been purchased by a new local company - hours, telephone number, and Facebook page updated, other details to be confirmed in due course. Had been officially closed on 19 November 2020, but effectively this was on 4 November because of Lockdown 2.0. The previous alternative name was the Fat Frog. The pub dates back to the 15th century and was originally two separate houses built in local brick. Popular with walkers and cyclists, the Chequers features a large garden with a children's play area. NOTE: Closing times may vary - phone ahead if you think you're cutting it fine.
