Beetle & Wedge Boathouse

Recently refurbished and reopened on 26 August 2020, with new owner, and branded as a "Riverside Inn and Restaurant". This very pleasant hostelry comprises a lower bar area as you enter, recently refurbished to give a very cozy and comfortable feel, with flagstone floors and exposed brick walls and featuring three handpumps. Steps at the back go up to a larger restaurant area with a classic and modern British menu and great views over the river. Although predominantly a restaurant, drinkers only are welcome in the bar area and also on the large outside terrace that opens out onto the riverside. Popular with the boating fraternity, with a variety of boats available for private hire.
