First built in 1691 and re-built in 1926 this is an impressive Edwardian stone built free house, situated in the Town Hall Square. with many original architectural features remaining. Ten cask ales and two traditional ciders are usually available on hand pump. Live sporting events are shown on TV and live music plays Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The hotel features log fires and provides accommodation. The menu features meat from the local butcher and pies made on the premises.
