A friendly and cosy three room community pub, whose interior, although partly opened out, has a traditional pub atmosphere. In the rear bar-lounge there are the original upholstered fitted tables and seats, as well as a boarded ceiling, a common feature of pubs in this area. The wall seats incorporate the old bell-pushes, once used to summon waiters, whilst the bar-back, mirrored and black-framed, enhances the appearance of the large number of bottles and glasses on display. Behind the bar, and served by a hatch, is a busy tap room. Across the entrance corridor there's also a large lounge for diners, decorated with pictures that depict a local flood. Pub quizzes are available for those who need to test their memories.
