This busy, friendly town centre pub opposite the market has a fine inter-war Masseys of Burnley facade, original tiled floors and staircase. Internally there has been a major refurbishment, with seating bays installed using leather car seats (designed for the original Mini, we believe) around tables, whilst a new bar was installed during lockdown. The remarkable collection of memorabilia around the walls heavily features Castleford Tigers RLFC. Live bands play after 9pm at weekends, plus a singer on Mionday afternoons. Opening Hours: please note Tue-Thu closure, and no food service. Note that the number of beers may have reduced by the Sunday / Monday sessions.
