Honest John

A welcoming and spacious bar and coffee tavern, with two separate rooms, the larger one contains the bar and has comfortable seating and a roaring log burner in the far wall. The décor is a combination wood effect wallpaper and stripped back walls exposing the stone and brick around the windows. The ornate cast iron and glass roof high above the main room is an unusual feature and is highlighted by changing coloured lights. The previous use as a former bank is in much evidence with hefty safe doors one of which contains the cellar. At the front of the building is a more comfortable, carpeted cosy room with easy chairs and local art work displayed on the walls. A large outside seating area has been developed adjacent to the premises. Doors close 1 hour before closing time on Friday and Saturday
