Norfolk Lurcher

Winner of Branch Rural Pub of the Year 2020 and 2018, and runner-up in 2019, the Norfolk Lurcher (formerly the Ugly Bug Inn) is also home to the Ugly Bug Restaurant. Housed in a converted fruit barn, eight miles from Norwich, and well worth finding. A traditional local pub serving outstanding local ales, excellent local food with local charm. Family run, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A large comfortable bar area is complimented by a restaurant and huge beer garden. Good-quality food on the menu, and there are monthly jazz evenings with the occasional quiz night too. Four beers on tap are well kept, and include the best of local real ales, typically including one or more from Beeston Brewery, Humpty Dumpty or Moon Gazer, all competitively priced. There is also a range of over sixty single-malt whiskies to choose from. The annual "Ocktoberfest" event here is very popular. Eight en-suite bedrooms are available.
