The original Swan started life in 1789 when it was owned by the next door saddler. Those buildings are long gone, but their replacement has grown into a stylish half pub/ half restaurant. The Adnams beer on offer is usually good and the food plentiful. There is a good sized garden to the south with an awning for smokers. There are several motel style rooms available for travellers.
