Close to the town centre, this is a friendly pub with a varied clientele. The choice of beer styles offer similar variety. The pub was built using rubble that remained after the second world war and the exterior has a quirky appearance. Inside the pub features a main bar with a roaring log fire in winter months and a smaller wood panelled lounge complete with a pool table. An annual beer festival is held to coincide with the yarmouth Maritime weekend in September. There is a small selection of foreign beers and some of the changing beers are from local micros. A deserved regular in the Good Beer Guide for the last few years.
