Bird In Hand

Opening hours

The original bar of this roadside pub has been converted into the 'Victorian Dining Room' and large extensions have been made to the side and rear of the building to make this a very spacious if somewhat food orientated pub. There is a drinking area adorned with interesting old photos depicting scenes of local village life. Access to pub is via the car park to the rear of the Grade II listed building. The Bird in Hand is a family owned and run, only a mile from Lotus Cars, as reflected in the Lotus memorabilia on the walls. The young owners maintain a classic pub feel, but offer up to date menus and drinks selections. There is a large parking area, indoor and outdoor seated areas, restaurants and bar area, with food cooked from scratch using locally produced products wherever possible, including fee-range beef, pork, and lamb from Norfolk, and fish and shellfish caught off the coasts of Norfolk and Suffolk. Real Ales from breweries in Norfolk and Suffolk. Occasional quiz nights are held as are regular acoustic music and charity fundraising nights, and there's a pleasant garden area, and comfortable accommodation is available in 8 luxury chalets.
