White Horse

Opening hours

Pleasant pub in quiet village. The original tiny snug and main bar, with open fires, beams and pamment flooring, opens up into a large modern wood-floored area with sliding glass doors onto the patio. An excellent selection of beers for a village pub, with seven handpumps serving an eclectic range and nine keg taps dispensing top quality beers from breweries such as Thornbridge (but no mainstream lagers), and a vast bottled beer menu from around the world. The 'house' beers are contract brewed by local breweries (as at September 2021). The food menu includes burgers, sandwiches and reasonably-priced favourites such as ham, egg and chips, as well as slightly more up-market dishes, although as the pubs says, it is "Not a gastropub, but a drinkers' pub which serves great food".
