Earle Arms

Opening hours

Lovely 16th-century former coaching inn situated opposite the green, in the centre of a privately owned picture-postcard village that has often been used as a film location. The bar is mainly candlelit, with a welcoming atmosphere and a log fire in winter; it also has an interesting collection of horse racing memorabilia. The food is seasonal and locally sourced, cooked to order and of the highest quality. The restaurant is separate and booking is advisable. Real cider is available in the summer. Superb pub; not to be missed.
