Set in a remote spot in the Black Mountains. Stone-flagged floors and a wood-burning stove set the mood for a traditionally cosy country pub formed out of two workman's cottages back in the 1700s. Stunning scenery in every direction makes this pub well worth finding, particularly if you have been walking the Offa's Dyke path which passes on the ridgetop a few hundred feet above. New ownership in mid 2015 injected new life into this charming inn, so expect to see further developments in due course. Home made pub grub available.
