Cambrian

Opening hours

This pub has played its part in the history of Tredegar and has been a focal point for Chartist meetings, army recruitment, and announcements of election results. A once thriving pub, a real ale beacon in the middle of town, it stands close to the famous Tredegar Clock. It closed for a long period before re-emerging as a pub once more selling ales to slake the thirst of its customers, something the 'Cam' has done for for over two hundred years. It now also offers food and accommodation (single occupancy and online booking available). Wednesday (9pm) is quiz night. The downstairs areas are arranged around a central bar while TVs are placed in strategic places for those who enjoy watching sport. The menu covers a wide range of dishes with breakfasts, starters, mains, meals to share, childrens' choices, curries and pizzas, the latter also to take-away. The Cambrian is a locally sourced session strength house ale. A very welcome return to the local real ale scene. Alternative contact number 07890 717228.
