A 16th century coaching house, it's impressive looking on the outside and very comfortable inside, this is a fine example of an old country pub. Open plan, with the bar and dining area partitioned from the pool table and dart board, it also has a side room for busy occasions or small parties. The curries have a very high local reputation and the landlady prides herself on her fish dishes. Vegetarian dishes are listed on an appropriately coloured green board. The landlord likes to have the guest beer from local breweries, particularly Kingstone. Two self-catering flats offer scope to stay awhile to explore this beautiful corner of Wales at leisure.
