Squirrels

The Squirrels Inn is situated on the main street of Old Duston village. It is virtually unchanged, an attractive ironstone building with a thatched roof. In 1955 it was a Phipps & Company tied house. To the rear of the pub is a refurbished Victorian-styled dining room, with an eclectic selection of furniture and a contemporary shabby chic style. The front part of the pub comprises the bar and lounge, part carpeted, part wooden floor, with a traditional English pub style. There is also an enormous beer garden which gets the sun all day and is home to their famous Summer garden parties, and a free car park for patrons. The Squirrels Inn serves food 7 days a week, with a revamped offering that includes authentic Spanish tapas, Italian gourmet thin-crust pizzas, French Raclette and Braserade, as well as an ever-popular selection of steaks and home-made burgers. The pub also caters for functions (very reasonably priced selection of buffets available) and is a popular venue for receptions and functions of all types. The Squirrels is a family-friendly pub offering a comfortable environment for people of all ages to relax, socialise and enjoy the selection of food and drink on offer.
