The Red Lion sits in the beautiful country village of Newton where it has stood here for over 300 years. This popular village pub with good traditional home-made food (booking advised). Very friendly and helpful staff, 2 well kept changing local beers with good sensibly priced wine. The bare-boards bar with light wood counter, black beamed ceiling, roaring fire and carpeted restaurant make this an amazingly warm and welcoming pub.. There is a back terrace by the car park and a gorgeous new function room with 4 accomodation rooms comming online this Autumn.
