Earl of Chesterfield

Opening hours

Former primitive Methodist chapel founded in 1840, that has long been converted into the village's only pub. In 2012 there were real fears that it would be closed and it had become very run down. However, it was purchased by a consortium of 40 local residents who raised £400,000 to buy and renovate it. It is now a superb large and comfortable village inn with a separate restaurant in what had previously been the actual chapel. Bouncy castle, barbecue and pizza oven in the garden at weekends, when weather permits.
