Traditional double fronted city centre pub. Situated opposite Haymarket bus station and Eldon Square, with the universities close by, the Hotspur is a very popular pub and especially busy on match days. Quiz held on Monday Nights. Newcastle University Folk Club play on Tuesday nights. The interior has recently been refurbished and is much enhanced without losing character. Eight hand pulls adorn the bar.
