August 2021 reopened as Night Owl. regular events are held - some free, others at a cost starting at £2 a head, for example for the Pub Quiz. Had been closed and boarded, lease available from the Arches Company. The independent live music bar Silver Bullet closed in June 2016, after a seemingly unsuccessful crowd funding attempt to keep it open, and was bought out by Goodman Restaurant Group – the company that owns the Burger and Lobster chain. Subsequently reopened in October 2016 as Zelman. Which itself then closed.
