Cock Inn

Popular local one-room pub with the bar (and TV screen) on your right as you enter and a new real-fire stove at the opposite end. They serve Greene King IPA and a changing guest ale, usually local. Lockdown saw complete and tastefull refurbishment, with plenty of solid tables and chairs, one long cushioned bench on the back wall, facing you as you enter and a comfortable leather settee. There is BT Sport on the TV, live music is staged once a month and there are themed events like their Halloween fancy dress party. The original Cock Inn was demolished in the 1930s; the current building replaced the old thatched pub. From the front of the pub you can admire the medieval church which has Buckinghamshire's tallest spire. The refurbishment has a new kitchen being built, so food will be available before the end of 2021.
